At this point of time, my works were made using old sewing magazines on knitting and making toys, to National Geographic magazines and other old picture books. Anything I could get my hands on, that contained a world of visual images.

During this period, I recognized my preference for images connected to history.

They seemed to make the works more relevant and humorous. Contemporary images often already have an entertainment value, bringing shock and extremes to the viewer. When these older more sincere and harmless images would be combined, they would convey a more unexpected and powerful irony.
